3 Tactics The Most Successful Online Businesses Use!
First let me give you a hint. It’s not the number of friends, followers or fans they have, the number of circles they are in or even how fancy the website is. The most successful online businesses are those that are run by business people and entrepreneurs that are clear on their reasons for starting the business in the first place and have a clear vision of where the business will be five years down the line.
Pushing all that aside there are 3 essential skills that the most successful online businesses practice and they are:
Relationship Building
Back when Internet marketing started, it was such a novelty that it didn’t take much to get a customer’s attention. There were so few business online, that just having a presence was enough to be found.
There was no need to cultivate relationships, after all, you never spoke to or met these internet customers, so what was the point. Hit them fast and hard with some compelling sales copy and before they had time to realize what was going on, they had already doled out the $99 and that was it, job done!
Today’s customers are much more discerning and savvy. The average customer will conduct thorough research before they commit to purchasing anything and as a result will interact with your business multiple times before they take the relationship to the next level.
Marketing, both offline and online are very much back to basics – it’s all about building online communities and fostering great relationships, earning the trust and respect of your peers and potential customers alike by sharing valuable information.
Content Marketing
Content marketing is a process of sharing valuable information with your community that helps them to solve many of their own problems. It’s not intended to replace the services or products that you offer, but to illuminate your capabilities.
The most common concern is giving away so much that your prospects don’t need to take the relationship to the next level and invest in you. That is indeed possible, but it’s a challenge you have to overcome in order to expand your circle of influence in your niche.
The true intent of content marketing is to qualify your prospects, ease the sales campaign and in effect make them better buyers of your products and services. Content marketing is not selling – it is using creative marketing strategies to position yourself as a key person of influence with those you can best serve. This is why the best form of content marketing is honest and authentic.
If you provide compelling content that educates, entertains and informs, it will you humanize your business, and enhance you trust.
Direct Marketing
The next tactic that the most successful online businesses practice is direct marketing. Direct marketing is copywriting that serves to elicit an action, such as picking up the phone to call your office, purchasing your product online, or visiting a landing page on your website.
At this stage of the relationship this is where the real benefit of the relationship and the content marketing really take hold. The customer should now see you as a trusted advisor in your field, they should be comfortable reviewing your content and as such see value in your recommendations or offers.
Throughout this process the most successful online businesses consistently move their community to act in some way, because every time they get their community to take action, it conditions them to doing it again.
The most successful online businesses have mastered these essential skills to create long term profitable business relationships, not the one hit wonders of the past. The question is do you practice these important tactics? And If not, why not?

after hearing the news and seeing studies on the effectiveness of low speed walking combined with computer work and phone work, I did my research online then asked my dad how we could modify the expensive systems we found.
My idea, his skill, $50 of plywood and here's what we came up with.
I am using speeds of 1.2-1.5 mph while typing, talking on the phone and more. A great way to re-establish posture, blood floor, weight bearing workout and more to an otherwise 8+ hour SITTING day!

Starting Your Own Internet Business Can Become reality!
For many people, cutting out the endless meetings, the daily commute and taking control of their own 9-5 is a distant dream. However, over the last few years more and more people have been “breaking free” of the corporate life. You may even have been thinking about starting your own internet business, but always put it off because no one makes money from home on the internet - or do they?
Well, here is some news for you: recent data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics shows the number of home-based businesses in the U.S. exceeds 18.3 million. People are making money and enriching their lives and you can too by starting your own internet business.
Reasons for Starting Your Own Internet Business
One of the main reasons that people give for wanting to set up a business from home is to spend more time with family. A home business allows family members to be involved, Husbands and wives can help each other with different parts of the business and children have the opportunity to see their parents working and running a business. Working for yourself at home means no commuting and no boss, so you have much greater freedom with your time. Many home-based entrepreneurs find that flexibility around their daily routine helps them to be more productive.
With greater productivity often comes greater workload. The benefit of being a home-based entrepreneur is that you are not boxed into one job and given a label identifying you as a Sales Person, Team Leader, Finance Manager, or Administrative Assistant. You’ll find that you become all things for your business. You are free to learn what you can and can’t do and your goals become much more achievable as you benefit from massive personal growth. More importantly, you can vary your activities regularly to keep you from getting bored.
It’s often said that nobody ever got rich working for someone else and for many people, yourself included, by starting your own internet business the dream is to create long term wealth. By starting your business from home, you have a low cost platform to plough all your extra money back into driving a profit from your business. You save money on travel and renting a separate business space and the time saved travelling can be put back into to earning money.
Internet based businesses allow people who have been frequently shut out of the job market, for instance homemakers, students, retirees, and the disabled amongst others, to create new income opportunities for themselves. When you are self-employed your earning potential is directly proportional to your performance, so the incentive is there for you to push yourself harder and create the income you’ve always wanted.
What Will You Need When Starting Your Own Internet Business?
The internet is a vital part of what makes a business successful these days. Whether you have had businesses for 40 years or this is your first venture, the keys to the best internet businesses are the same:
A Good Idea: Have something to offer that people have an appetite for, and if you can find a niche market your chances of success are better.
Hard Work: Forget the “four hour work week” theory. If you want to make a success of starting your own internet business you will have to push yourself harder than any boss ever could. If you put in the effort and persevere through the many ups and downs, you will come up trumps.
Prepare for Success: One of the most telling characteristics of an entrepreneur that reaches the highest levels of success is that if you believe that you will succeed, then you have a much better chance of doing so. Believe in yourself and go about your plans with steely determination. Together with your good ideas and hard work, your confidence will be rewarded.
As more people are becoming frustrated with the “old” style of working 9-5 from an office, there are now more options and ways to make money online allowing you to do something different. Starting your own internet business could be the key to your own personal freedom.

USP Marketing - Are You 1 of the 99.9%?
99.9% of every persons DNA on this planet is the same. It is only the last 0.01% that makes us different and unique. How can you bottle up that magical 0.01% and use it to allow your small business to stand out from the crowd? By using USP marketing of course!
What is USP Marketing?
First and foremost we need to define exactly what a USP is. A USP is a term used to describe the Unique selling proposition of a product, brand, service or solution. It’s that one thing that makes it completely different from all the competition in the eyes of the user and the biggest factor in why someone would want to work with you or your business.
Why is USP Marketing So Important?
There are millions of businesses in the world all fighting for the attention of customers. If your business is not unique and does not satisfy a specific niche or address a particular issue in the market place then you will struggle to attract the attention you demand. One of the biggest issues small businesses face is not having a USP and therefore lacking the ability to position ones business as the leader in the market place. So how should you go about showing that your business is the leader in the market place?
1. Target your Ideal Customer
As with any form of marketing, USP Marketing starts and ends with the customer. Who are those customers and what is it about that select group of people that will draw them to your product or service? What problems does that set of people have? What would they do to find a solution? What options have they considered? Where will that targeted group of people be found? What do they do with their spare time?
When you have this data you can then compile it and get information so you can begin to pinpoint exactly who your customer is and what kind of message you need to deliver to them in order for them to engage with your product or service.
2. Expose your biggest benefits.
From the initial research into your target market you should be able to ring fence a few key areas that your business, product or solution could help.
For example look at BMW, they manufacture and sell cars and their marketing campaigns are centred around what the car can do for the buyer or the feeling it will impress on the buyer.
BMW the Ultimate driving Machine
BMW. Sheer Driving Pleasure.
Now look at both of those slogans and compare them to “we sell luxury cars” or “executive cars”.
People know that cars help people get from A to B. BMW haven't fallen into the trap of inadvertently thinking they are there to help people go to the store. One of BMW’s biggest benefits is they are providing a pleasurable experience.
Without exposing the benefits, if you try to sell what you sell based on what you do then you will not be able to connect with your audience. Don’t advertise what you think your customer is searching for, expose the solution. More importantly, expose it in a way that makes your product, service or solution the only way they can satisfy that need. That will put you well on the way to small business success!
3. Think Longer Term
There is the classic saying from Henry Ford
“If I were to go and ask people what they wanted they would have said a faster horse”
You have to think outside of the box and be able to think of what could impact your industry or the lives of your customers a few years down the line. Is there any legislation that could impact your business or the way you market it.
Markets change, competition changes and your message need to be strong enough to cope with those changes. Being 10% cheaper then the next man or offering free delivery is not USP Marketing. Why? Because if it is successful then your competition will do exactly the same and you will no longer have that killer advantage.
4. Make it clear and concise
It needs to be said in one sentence. If your USP sounds like everyone else it is not exciting, it’s not engaging. You want it to be niche focussed and you want it to motivate the target audience to positively remember you and your brand.
5. Deliver on Your USP
One of the biggest franchises in the world, Dominoes, had a USP that stated “Get your Pizza in 30 minutes or it is free”. I don’t eat many pizzas, however that is a strong and compelling reason to go with Dominoes. If I want pizza and I am hungry, I know if they don’t get it to me in 30 minutes then I get a free pizza! That is quite literally delivering on your USP.
It is good to have something that keeps you on the edge. If you are a Pizza parlour, then giving away Free Pizzas is not in the business plan. Not being able to satisfy the USP time and again will leave people with a negative impact of your brand, and you’d be out of pocket too.
Done right USP Marketing will have a positive impact on your business success. By following these small business marketing tips you will be in a strong position to gain advantage on your competition and make a name for yourself for the right reasons.
If you have not given much thought into your USP Marketing until now then this may be the time to take a step back and rethink your strategy so that you become an elite member of that 0.01% group.
